Hawaiian Food Taste Test | Poké & Kona Hanalei Island IPA | Food & Drink

In this episode of Food & Drink you will see Hawaiian food: Poké (spicy tuna) and Kona Hanalei Island IPA. Ingredients of the poké: spicy tuna, rice, cilantro, chili, scallions, onions, Hijiki seaweed, cucumber, sesame and yuzu ponzu sauce. Mmmmhhh!!! I took the poké at a place called Poké Bay in Munich.

Super nice Hawaiian food review on a sunny winter day in Germany…

Aloha! We absolutely adore Poke Wave. Having now been to both locations, it remains consistent with taste and service. Both are welcoming and the Astoria location can host larger parties compared to Flushing. However, Flushing will still be our main go to spot for Poke since it is closer to home.

If you haven’t had Poke before, go for the signature or house poke bowls to start, since these will have the best combinations in ingredients. Poke is delicious, flavorful and healthy. A definite must try. So if you want a yummy, healthy and affordable meal, head on down to Poke Wave. Thank you again for watching and we’ll see you on our next food adventure! Salamat!

Eating Show Hawaiian food Taro root

This is my first eating show I’ve done so grab some food eat with me as I eat and describe Hawaiian food.

I find Taro root very interesting.

Poi is a Hawaiian word for the primary Polynesian staple food made from the underground plant stem or corm of the taro plant (known in Hawaiian as kalo). It is a traditional part of Native Hawaiian cuisine. Poi is produced by mashing the cooked corm (baked or steamed) until it is a highly viscous fluid.
