Best Hawaiian Food.

I went to Homestyle Hawaiian Restaurant last week and I ended going back the next day. It is located next to Kearny High School and a few blocks from Mesa College. The food is full of flavor and the portions are big. The place is very small and parking is hard to find. Go early or order by phone and enjoy. Please follow my YouTube and my Instagram account. Ono Hawaiian Food – Local Hawaiian Food in Oahu

The generous combo plates feature various favorites that include Kalua pig which is a pork that is steamed and then shredded to thin slices. There is also the lau lau, which is either pork or chicken wrapped in taro leaves and then steamed.

Nathan Aweau, Me Ku’u One Hanau E, at the Keauhou Hawaiian Food Bank Benefit-087.avi

Nathan Aweau graciously performs at Keauhou Hawaiian Food Bank benefit. Nathan entertained us with story and songs often with the hula of Malia Petersen.

Starting at 6:00 PM with the sun setting to darkness the lighting was a challenge but the music and songs were unchanged. Mahalo nui to Nathan for helping our island Food Bank collect food for in need, from our keiki to our kupuna. If you live here on Hawai’i please consider making a regular donation to the food bank, mahalo for your help.
