Ultimately, I have been waffling back and forth about how I feel about this place.I really enjoyed seeing all of the different dances and outfits and trying a bunch of different Hawaiian food (‘enjoy’ might be a bit of a stretch when it comes to poi) and clipclopping around with a coconut like an crazy in public was fun, but at the same time, giving money to this place is fostering the same community that’s been helping to erase these cultures from history.

Old Lahaina Luau. Maui’s best and most authentic Luau with Hula and Tahitian dancing. Located on the north end of Lahaina’s historic Front Street, the beachfront experience is complete with traditional Hawaiian food and entertainment. A must see event when visiting Maui and the Hawaiian islands. Video recorded the evening of October 5, 2017. Cameras used were the Sony FDR-AX53 and Canon G7X Mark II.
