Friday interview with Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell

EATventurers, I LOVE Helena’s Hawaiian Foods and I am very excited to show you what I got in my most recent trip to Oahu. Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE!

Helena’s actually placed in Yelp’s top 100 best places to eat in the US, among MANY other awards. They were also covered in Man vs Food! This place is extremely popular to both locals and tourists, and it’s not hard to find out why. Their food is AMAZING.

This “hole in the wall” is family-run, and you can feel the aloha spirit in their restaurant. I feel like I’m at home every time I go to Helena’s because of the extremely friendly staff. They treat you as if you are family!

They have a ton of selection in their menu, and they are all good. I’ve tasted most of the items in their menu, including:

Kalua Pig
Squid Luau
Poi
Pipikaula Short Ribs
Chicken Long Rice
Lomi Salmon
Poke with Opihi
Fried Butterfish Collar
…and my favorite, Haupia.

I’m not joking when I say you’ve gotta try Helena’s. The food is amazing, and will complete your Hawaii trip. I hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for tuning in.
