Hawaiian Food & $300 Ulta Haul (after getting my haircut) – October 2020

Hello All,

After my haircut, we had some food from Ono Hawaiian and decided to film it. Also, included what we got from Ultra. Enjoy!

My name is Alice and this is my story.

Yup! I have Cancer! I was diagnosed with a unique form of Biliary Cholangio Carcinoma.
In early July 2020, I received a phone call from my Gastroenterologist with the results of my biopsy, he told me that it came back positive for Cancer…. and so…. it begins….
This year, 2020 has certainly been a very special year in more ways than one and with this added event to my 2020 year, I thought it was about time that I documented it. I wanted to have a place where I can track and talk and share about my experience.

Squid Lūʻau – Kimi Werner Recipe- Octopus Coconut milk Taro leaves- Traditional Hawaiian Food

Squid lūʻau is a traditional Hawaiian meal consisting of octopus, taro leaves and coconut milk. We slow it down in this episode to make room for the natural sounds, stillness and presence one experiences when truly connecting to nature. The kalo (taro) leaves were gathered during a volunteer community work day for the Punaho’olapa restoration projects led by Manna Foods, in Haleiwa.

Ingredients:

Octopus, cleaned with Hawaiian salt, cut into bite size pieces
Butter or coconut oil
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
Kalo leaves
Coconut milk
Water
(Can finish with more salt and a touch of sugar to bring out sweetness of coconut milk to your liking)
